ABOUT US
Hello! My name is Jaime Gee Norris. I grew up in Anchorage Alaska and moved out to Eagle River in 2006. I’m a married mother of one beautiful daughter Denali. My husband is retired from the Army. I have a Saint Bernard named Henry, a Newfoundland named Rocky Balboa, a long haired orange tabby named Simba, a black cat named Jax and a grey tabby named Lyla. I moved to Wasilla after I closed my Eagle River Salon after The Great Plague of 2020. Since moving to Wasilla I now have chickens and bees. I don’t know what to say it just happens! My Professional History~ My mother was a cosmetology instructor since I was very young, so I grew up in the beauty industry. I knew that I wanted to do massage early on but that changed to manicuring because it would get me into the spa industry faster. I’ve been a nail artist since the 1900’s 😂 Yes I’m dating myself some. 1999 to be exact. My first job was at Opulence Grand Salon and Day Spa. It was a wonderful place to work and I loved being somewhere that did it all! Later I worked at Allure Salon and Day Spa which was also a very nice working environment. I do love the spa feel. I was approached by my long time friend and mentor who challenged me to go out on my own and work for myself. I decided to jump in and started renting space to do LCN~ Light Concept Nails, a type of hard gel. I was very successful at this and it wasn’t long before I was working 9am-9pm. I became an educator for LCN in 2001 and taught quite a few people how to do clean, high quality nails and how to build a business of their own. ~Ahhhh to be young. In 2006, I decided I wanted to broaden my skills and went to esthetician school. The education in Alaska at the time was, well…. substandard to say the least so I received most of my education with different product, skincare and equipment companies. This helped fill in the gaps. I haven’t stopped learning new and exciting treatments since and honestly that’s part of what I love about the beauty industry, it’s always evolving. I went on to get my state instructors license for skin and nails. I took a couple years off after moving to Wasilla in 2021 and I’ve realized it’s time to come back. I miss my client relationships, it feeds my spirit. The clients I’ve been blessed to call friends has helped shape my life and experiences. I miss it too much to stay away. Things have changed for me as I’m in a new town and starting from scratch with the exception of a handful of clients coming from Anchorage and Eagle River to get pampered from me again. I’m hoping I can do the same for my new Wasilla and Palmer community. It’s different to go from overbooked to starting new. I don’t love the dating app style marketing that business has become but here we are. If you would like to have services from someone who is genuine and authentic and will treat you like you are valued, seen and heard, I’d love to meet you!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please give 8 hours notice of cancellation so there may be time for me to offer the space to someone else. I understand life happens but if notice isn’t given more than once it may cause inability to rebook in the future. I don’t take deposits or keep credit cards on file as I find this distasteful BUT common professional curiosity is expected. I know we value each other time and money. Thank you for this consideration.
